One of the most popular deities in the Hindu faith, Sri Hanuman is worshipped all over India by Hindus of all backgrounds. Although he is a Sanskrit pundit, a gifted speaker endowed with superior powers of logic and infinite wisdom, and a magician bearing many boons which he could use to perform many siddhis, Sri Hanuman is considered praiseworthy above all for his utmost humility and steadfast devotion towards Sri Rama who showers him with love. It is said that Sri Hanuman declined the boon of merging with Brahman, the supreme consciousness, and he chose instead the promise that he would have the ability to be a witness at any occasion where Sri Rama's glories were extolled.
