The 7th avatar of Lord Mahavishnu, Sri Ramachandra, was born as the son of King Dasharatha of the solar dynasty-Raghukula vamsha. Maharishi Valmiki's epic poem, Ramayana, relates the arduous physical and moral conflicts which challenged Lord Rama's fourteen-year exile. An ideal son, brother, husband, friend, and ruler, Sri Rama exemplifies the teaching that every role and situation in life has its own dharma.Sri Rama's consort is Seetha Devi, an incarnation of Sri Lakshmi, and, as the queen of King Rama, she too epitomizes a dharmic woman.
